About The Humberview Group

Our story begins and ends with you.

Stewart Esplen was already a successful yet humble businessman when he opened Skyline Pontiac Buick in 1962. It was a small dealership in what was, at the time, a small rural area in Richmond Hill - but it was his first. Stewart operated it as he had all his businesses, with a simple philosophy summed up in thirteen well-chosen words:

"Take care of your customers and your customers will take care of you."

Stewart practiced what he preached. Determined to serve his customers better each and every day, he sought partners who shared his conviction and focus. Stewart knew that delivering a world-class experience was easier said than done; the strive for better service took deeper resources than one independent store could provide on its own. And so, to realize a level of service that one could be proud of—that would keep customers coming back over and over again—he needed to grow.

Thirty years later, that first dealership grew to a group of 20, all under Stewart's name as part of The Humberview Group. That's 20 locations, each driven by an exceptional team of people dedicated to delivering an ownership experience that is second to none. Stewart would be happy. We think you'll be happy, too.

Stewart Esplen was many things, but first and foremost, he was an entrepreneur who knew how to build a business. He managed auto dealerships until he retired in 1991, turning the business over to his sons, John and Scott.
